In this book, you will learn about the three aspects of photography that lead to outstanding images — Understanding your equipment, Understanding the Artistic Aspects of Photography, and Understanding the Importance of Photo Editing. No prior knowledge of photography is required. Although quite comprehensive, this book is geared toward the novice photographer. Photography can be an expensive venture and purchasing the wrong equipment can be costly and frustrating. Likewise there are thousands of books on the topic and many of them will be expensive, difficult to understand, or much longer than necessary. My hope is to point you along the most direct path possible while allowing you to progress at a comfortable speed. Trying to learn photography without some guidance is like setting out on a cross-country trip without a map or compass. You may eventually get somewhere, but the journey will be more stressful and much longer than it would have been with an experienced guide.
